Over the course of 7 sessions, this in-depth clinical training will teach you all of the trauma sequences applied post-mass trauma. These sequences are implemented by the Emerald Sketch Trauma Response Team, including a diverse range of Art therapists throughout the United States, as well as the Red Pencil globally. Nicole Porter Davis was the pioneering co-writer for the Red Pencil’s first Manual edition.
The training will begin with an orientation to all the sequences, the Community based Art therapy Assessment Process, and Outreach Methodology. Then, each week will be dedicated to a single sequence in the Art therapy trauma response process.
Upon completion of this training, you’ll be awarded an Official Emerald Sketch Art therapy Trauma Response Training Certificate. To be added as an official member of the Emerald Sketch Trauma Response Team, you will need to show proof of completion of the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training. This will include updates and insights on Emerald Sketch Art therapy Trauma Response opportunities, outreach, and mobilization.
Prerequisites
Completion or current attendance to a Master of Art therapy program, or similar degree.
Participants must also enroll and integrate use of the Roxygen app during the two month course.

This is the minimum training you can attain and really begin to integrate this clinical material. The sequences will take clinicians on their own non-verbal journey harnessing new techniques to implement the phases of safety & security, the therapeutic relationship, secure remembrance, transformation, social connection, and relapse prevention.
Whatever your clinical setting, these innovative, yet ancient practices will bring your work into the modern era at a pace that is uplifting and comfortable to work with the most challenging clients of all ages.
