Virtual Workshop: How Art Therapy Heals with NYATA

Join us for a conversation to learn more about the dynamic and novel field of Art Therapy and how it facilitates healing.

Curious about the field of Art Therapy? Do you have a friend or family member pursuing graduate training in Art Therapy? Then this is the event for you! Join us to learn more about this novel and dynamic field.

In this workshop, I’ll facilitate an opportunity for attendees to learn about how Art Therapy provides opportunities for healing in the lives of individuals. I’ll present a model of Art Therapy educational outreach including psychoeducation, neurobiology, art therapy, and mechanisms for healing. Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of both the benefits and science of Art Therapy, as well as how to better articulate the neurobiology of Art Therapy healing. There will be time for questions at the end!

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will gain an understanding of how to overcome two or more prevalent presenting concerns of neurotypical individuals who are resistant to understanding the science of Art Therapy.

2. Clinicians will be able to implement one or more practice methods as a form of psychoeducation and assessment to increase comprehension and insights of participants on how Art Therapy works to help people heal.

3. Art Therapists will learn how to differentiate their own Art Therapy approach to implement modern and concise dialogue on neuroscience and Art therapy.

Registration: This is a FREE event for the general public and NYATA members. $20 for professionals seeking CE's. Registration is required.
